In 2012, while standing on a remote farm in Samfya, Zambia, the vision to bring hope to Africa was born.
Our team of medical professionals and teachers was nearing the end of a two week mission trip focused on health and education. Despite all of our hard work and progress, we knew that our impact barely made a dent and that the need within the community remained great.
At that moment, a man named Hudson Mwansa, a local leader and pastor, shared with us his vision. He dreamed of building a church that could provide a school for orphans, a shelter for the homeless, and a farm that would provide jobs as well as sustainable food. At the time, he had already turned his own home into a makeshift classroom where he was teaching and caring for 12 orphans.
We knew that God was calling us to help. As such, Africa Hope Mission's first project will be to fully fund the Hudaga Family Care Center for Orphans.
